Learn How to Help Our Cause

The John J. Ward, Jr., Irish Music Archives hopes to support and complement the work being done by the Irish Traditional Music Archives in Dublin. The inspiration for our archives came from visits to ITMA and discussions with its founders, Nicholas Carolan and Harry Bradshaw.

Items we collect for the archives include:

  • sound recordings
  • sheet music
  • songbooks
  • instruments
  • cultural items
  • historical items
  • of out-of-date and unique printed materials
  • photographs
