Genealogy 2009

Irish Fest warmly welcomes Judith Eccles Wight to give presentations of her extension knowledge of all things genealogical. Her expertise is in Scotland and Ireland and she is an accomplished researcher and lecturer.

2009 features:

• Our volunteer genealogists will help you start your very own personal family tree. They have the forms and search tips, lists of web sites and can recommend software to store you rinformation based on personal use.
• The Irish Genealogical Society of Wisconsin (IGSW) volunteers will man displays and computers to offer their considerable experience and advice to your personal searches.
• The 2nd Wisconsin Volunteers and the National Soldiers Home groups in historical costumes will be on hand to educate us on available sources for our military and veteran records.
• The Faces of Ireland Photo display will be arrayed to give you a taste of Ireland.
• Maps of Ireland, Scotland, and Canada can help you see the patterns of immigration and great places to visit.
• Children are invited to begin a tree and get their hands stamped with an ancestral themed logo in blue or green.
