Meehan Boat House

This year’s maritime area focuses on Galway Bay and its significance in history including the storied vessels that have dwelled in the Bay and their lively occupants. The area also welcomes Carlingford Lough International Currach Association, an organization that continues to help unite Ireland and Northern Ireland through the sport and art of currach racing. Also present in the Boat House, will be the North American Currach Association (NACA) promoting the Irish tradition of currach racing in the U.S. 

The Boat House Schedule:

Saturday, August 16
Noon – ICCM regatta and NACA currach races
5 p.m. (or after races complete) – Awards Ceremony

Sunday, August 17
Noon – Open regatta and awards ceremony
3 p.m. – Milwaukee Firefighters vs. Milwaukee Police Officers
4 p.m. – Awards Ceremony
