Slainte 2010 -- Calling all Young Professionals!

To our Young Professionals aged 21-40 out there!  On opening night of Irish Fest, come down to Slainte 2010 and experience Milwaukee’s largest Happy Hour.  Admission to the festival on Thursday is $5 or FREE with the donation of school supplies.  Click the link below and download the PDF invitation.  Event starts at 6 PM in the Crossroads area.  This is an INVITE ONLY event!

30 Day of Giveaways

It’s our 30th Anniversary here at Milwaukee Irish Fest, and to celebrate, we want to thank the people that made our 30 years successful – YOU. To do so, we’re giving away a pair of tickets every day for the 30 days leading up to Irish Fest’s opening night, starting July 20 and ending August 19.

To enter, all you have to do is “like” us on Facebook and/or follow us on Twitter. Every day, starting July 20, we’ll be selecting a random Facebook fan or Twitter follower and offering them a pair of free tickets for the 30th Anniversary of Irish Fest. All winners will be mentioned on Twitter and Facebook, as well as listed here daily. Those winners are encouraged to contact marcb@celticinc.com to coordinate their two free tickets.

We know without the support of the Irish Fest community, we could never have made it this far. For that we want to thank you the only way we know how – by celebrating the beautiful culture and storied heritage of Ireland.

Family Passport to Irish Fest

Join in the fun and follow Pirate Paddy as he leads the whole family on an Irish Fest adventure! The Family Passport to Irish Fest, will highlight the top family-oriented activities taking place during the weekend. Kids and parents can pick up a passport at any of the 10 cultural destinations to start their journey – making Irish Fest navigation interactive and easy. Watch for the noteworthy stops on the Family Passport. The Passport will run on Friday from 4-7PM, Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 6PM. Tthe Family Passport program engages children of all ages with new activities and prizes at every location, providing an authentic Irish experience along the way.

Jameson Lounge

The Jameson Lounge, located at the Paddy O West deck on the south end of the grounds, will be open Friday through Sunday for guests 21 years and older.  The Lounge offers attendees with a valid I.D. a place to unwind while enjoying select marks of Jameson Irish Whiskey.  Authentic Irish whiskey tastings will also be available and led by an official Jameson Irish Whiskey ambassador from Ireland.  The tastings will be held at scheduled times through the weekend and by reservation only.  Reservations are $15 per person and will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

College Day

Calling All College Students!
Students enrolled in local and regional colleges and universities are invited to College Day at Irish Fest Sunday, August 22. Those who present a valid college student ID at the Main gate only, from 2 – 7 p.m. will receive $3 off the daily ticket price.

"Shots of Irish" Amateur Photo Contest 2010

Enter your photos to win a grand prize of $100. The photo contest will have two categories for 2010, photos taken in Ireland and photos taken at a Milwaukee area Irish event. Two $50 prizes will be awarded daily, one for each category, beginning on Friday and ending Sunday. An additional $50 prize for "best overall" photo will be awarded to one of the six daily winners.

LEPRECHAUN GATHERING

Visitors to Irish Fest are welcome to visit the ‘Leprecamp,’ which will include a cottage, bank vault, pub, performance stage, workshop and other tiny structures. While touring the site, guests can take pictures and learn more about these mythical creatures through fun, educational displays.

And don’t forget to bring your little ones to the Leprechaun Gathering. They can search for gold and even join a special “Leprechaun Kids Club” for fun prizes.

Take the Irish Fest trivia challenge, Saturday, August 21st at 1:45 p.m. Put your team of 8 (or fewwer) trivia experts to the test.

Trivia Contest is at the Vilalge Pub located in the Irish Fest Cultural Village.
