Brett Lipshutz and Randy Gosa have been working together as a duo for several years. The idea of the duo is based upon completeness of sound in its intimacy. The flute and the guitar are well suited to each other providing the string and the wind, each in its own sonic space, blending melodically and rhythmically. Their interest in collaboration originates from a strong respect for tradition and a desire to innovate. While both musicians are steeped in Irish music, they also have a shared interest in tunes from other traditions, including Breton, Bal folk (France), Klezmer, English and Quebecois.
